Berylwood Family Center
This is a new family center in Simi for kids to go to after school and learn new things, get help with homework, and
have fun. It needs volunteers, and if you want to sign up to be a mentor, read stories, teach activities, or help in other
ways, talk to Mrs. Brotherthan.
Here's a link to a map of the center. You can enter your address and it will give you instructions. Depending on your
exact address, the insturctions may need to be changed a little, but it is generally pretty accurate and easy to understand. The
center is located in a portable building at the Berylwood Elementry School.

You may have seen the ads on TV or done this in your Key Club. Unicef is
an organization that raises money to help kids all over the world, and raises money to protect them, educate
them, and feed them. Please help this wonderful oprganization make this world a better place by collecting money
for them. We distribute boxes to our members and they collectspare change. A lot of people take them trick-or-treating and
get donations that way, but this the Unicef drive is all throughout October usually and sometimes even after. Check out their
website at http://www.unicef.org

two or more needy families and different members donate gifts for them. Occaisonally, members can even deliver the gifts.
We always get news that the recipients are pleasently surprised that people care about them enough to help make their holiday
season a little brighter. It is a great feelingwhen you give , and most (appropriate) contributions
are welcome.

collecting donations for the Salvation Army. This year, Key Club will also help raise money for this very wonderful organization
that collects food and money for the needy.
