Summer event.... we helped with the set up and some people also helped serve food. Simi High Key Club was there, and we got to know some of them. It was a lot of fun and along with volunteers from Kiwanis, much was accomplished.

Simi Valley Days
Another event before our first official meeting. Several Key Clubbers marched in the parade with the Santa Susana Kiwanis Club. It was great fun and it was awesome cheering for Key Club. Some fo you may ahve actually seen us. Key Club members also worked at the Petting Zoo at the fair, earning over $200 the SSHS Key Club.

Saving the Forest from the Forest Fires (yes, we have a forest in Simi.... Just Kidding!)
Last year, Simi Valley saw the tragic damage that a fire could do. Houses were lost, people evacuated,a nd nature ruined. There was an area of trees of Kuehner that burned down. Different people planted new seeds for new trees to grow. Over the summer, a few caring Key Club members helped restore out community by watering these trees.

Berylwood Family Center
This is a new family center in Simi for kids to go to after school and learn new things, get help with homework, and have fun. It needs volunteers, and if you want to sign up to be a mentor, read stories, teach activities, or help in other ways, talk to Mrs. Brotherthan.
Here's a link to a map of the center. You can enter your address and it will give you instructions. Depending on your exact address, the insturctions may need to be changed a little, but it is generally pretty accurate and easy to understand. The center is located in a portable building at the Berylwood Elementry School.

It is a great feelingwhen you give , and most (appropriate) contributions
are welcome.
